Space Inquiry

This term we have been doing an inquiry about a topic we chose to do. I chose space and have found out some interesting fact that some of you would not know, like Saturn and Jupiter are gas planets and Mercury and Venus. The inquiry we are doing is very interesting and we hope we learn lots more about space.

Jessica's Poems

The Cats Meow
Cat’s meow is the sliver lining
Raindrops on roses is the beauty
Kisses on cheeks is the love
Whiskers on kittens is the moon on
Poets in love is the most beautiful thing that You will hear, read, feel, live, and love

Winter
Winter is like thirty minutes to live your life
Because next day you might not open your Eyes to see the dim rays of the sunshine Making her mark bleaching the frozen snow Slowly painfully getting chaffed by the Slightly cold warm rays of the sun peering Longingly through the clouds as it disappears Into nothing like you’ve ever seen

The picture in Black and White
Why do you love me what is it about me that Makes you love me it’s you being so quiet and Loving that makes me love you so

Bob's Visit

At school on Tuesday we had Bob, a head librarian from the national library. Came to our school and gave us a few explanations and recommendations and gave us some knowledge about the great books that live in our library and in some of New Zealand's greatest book stores. The first book he gave a explanation was called 'Running Wild' which is about how he understand and misunderstands the ways of nature and peoples behavior. It has a brutal death of four orangutans who got shoot by poachers, and left three baby orangutans orphans.

Book week with Bob

On Tuesday 17Th of August Bob from the national library came to our school to talk to us about good books to read. He recommended all sorts of books from picture books to 580 page books. He also made think about not judging books by their covers because some books don't look that interesting but it turns out they are.I thought he was very clever and I enjoyed it thoroughly. So it just goes to show you don't judge a book by it's cover.

My violin exam

Today at 9:30 I had my first violin exam. To pass we had to be able to do 3 songs, scales, ear tests/oral and sight reading. I think I did very well considering it was my first exam. My examiner Mr George Brown was Irish and was very nice. I found out he could play the piano, violin and flute. What I did best was my favourite song called the flop eared maul which was a very lively and bouncy song. Next time I will be doing grade 3 or 4 as I did grade 2 today. It was lots of fun!

Jessica's Quote

Be more more fierce than any tiger Be more beautiful and graceful than The eagle be more loving than any Mother
Fight for life savor your gift and love What’s been from above because
Unlike love and memories life does Not last forever the rain may fall
Many times and the sun will bleach The sand many times or maybe Forever before your heart is lost
Life... make it worth living

What was I thinking when I wrote this? Well what is the strongest thing that would mean something then it hit me Life!. Life what would any of us be without it yeah that's right nothing no memories nothing, so make life worth living and be grateful for all the love given to you weather you want it or not. Love the joys of life and all it brings to you.

I might not be a wealthy in money but I am where it counts, in my heart.
